Larry Moss is both an artist and community builder who is frequently called upon for his ability to find creative solutions to unique situations. His warm personality, combined with his genuine interest in helping others find their passion and develop their talents has earned him the appreciation and dedication of countless professionals, as well as up-and-coming artists that are ready to help him bring the impossible to life. Larry seamlessly combines his lifelong interests in the performing arts, visual arts, education, and technology to empower individuals in sharing their knowledge and stories.
Larry’s fascination with captivating audiences began in his teenage years when he honed his skills as a magician and juggler while busking in New York City. Although he didn’t receive academic credit for his pursuits into the variety arts, Larry did attend the University of Rochester, where he earned a Bachelors in Applied Math and a Masters in Teaching and Curriculum. As a young educator, he discovered immense fulfillment in creatively connecting with his students by blending his love for education and art. For over three decades, Larry has delivered high-quality education to children and families across New York State and beyond.
As Founder and Creative Director of Airigami, a world-renowned sculpture and production company known for stadium-scale installations and award winning illustrations made entirely from balloons (and a 3 decade diversion from his real interests), Larry has written numerous books, made many television appearances, and performed multiple times at the White House. More recently, with a local focus in mind, Larry founded and serves as Executive Director of Teaching Artists ROC, a nonprofit that serves community while fostering the profession of teaching artistry. His unwavering commitment lies in enhancing the education landscape through unique arts learning opportunities, constantly seeking new avenues for creative exploration and growth. With his passion, expertise, and collaborative spirit, Larry remains at the forefront of inspiring and empowering individuals to discover their artistic potential and make a lasting impact in their communities.
